Compression Load Cell

A compression load cell is a transducer that measures downward, pushing forces (compression) and converts them into an electrical signal for accurate weight or force measurement, commonly used in high-capacity applications like silos, hoppers, and truck scales. It works by deforming internal columns or sensing elements, which stretches bonded strain gauges, altering their electrical resistance in proportion to the applied load. These robust, often stainless-steel sensors provide precise data crucial for industrial automation, material testing, and process control.
